Here's a new tradition, something to force me to update here at least once a week, and to focus on some singular (but very cool) aspect of the latest project...no full frame shots, just parts.
The before primer shot:
Next: fixed gear frame and new paint.
Hey Chauncey, Nice bikes. I am a big fan of handmade bicycles. I havent seen you in years, though we use to be good friends. I have a picture of you and I at my 6th birthday party in Bosque Farms. You can reach me at ajnsuz@yahoo.com if you would like. I am very interested in how you got your start in framebuilding. I have a sweet Eddy Merckx MX Leader that is made from custom drawn Columbus MAX tubing. Could you build me a fixie?

Chauncy, I have to credit you with a great 50 mile mantra. Between miles 10 and 40, during the run, I kept saying, "There is no try, only do." The last 10 miles I was too euphoric to think.
ReplyDeleteHey Chauncey,
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought about working for a company like Specialized? We're looking for a Frame Builder! Although leaving NM could be hard. I am from Las Cruces and miss it! If you're interested (or know of anyone who might be), check out the Career description at specialized.com or shoot me an e-mail at cyndie.gillingham@specialized.com.
Cheers,
Cyndie
